Under 5's can learn about the alphabet with fun games, colours and characters.
ABC Quest is a new educational app for preschoolers that is all about the alphabet. Preschoolers can play their way through the ABC, with fun games, characters, songs and even voice recognition tools.
Following a storyline, ABC Quest uses dialogue and role-play to enhance your child’s alphabet learning experience. My 2 children (aged 5 and almost 3) have been using the app for a few weeks now, and genuinely enjoy logging on to learn about the next letter.
Despite the 2 year age gap between my daughters, there are features of the app that suit both of their learning needs. For example, my 3 year old has not yet started to read, so she is just learning the letters of the alphabet, plus phonics and colours.
My oldest, who is learning to read words and sentences, is really benefiting from other features, such as letter tracing and formation, which is an area she needs a bit of help with, and one of the reasons I downloaded the app.
All content is aligned to the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, so you know it is a truly educational app.
It's is free to download, and you can view the intro, plus complete the letter A to see if your children will be interested in learning more.
