Wooden Rocker from Think, Build, Play

Instead of buying more plastic toys for your child's next birthday or Christmas gift, get them something that will be used for years to come.

My second son just turned 1 and I wanted to give him a present that wasn't a hand me down from my eldest, or anything plastic and disposable. He was an early walker and also loved to climb. So when I stumbled across the amazing creations from Think Build Play, I knew that it was just what I was looking for.

Think Build Play is a local family owned business based in Nudgee, and they create the most incredible handmade children’s equipment that is designed to encourage safe and active play. We settled on a large rocker for climbing, with a climbing ramp that could be attached.

The craftsmanship is incredible. My son took to it straight away, using his chubby little legs and all his determination to climb over the arch and then steadily make his way down the other side.

It's also great for imaginative play. When we brought it home, my 3 year old son and 5 year old nephew straight way grabbed some blankets, draped them over the arch and then ate their sandwiches under their new 'cubby'.

The rocker can also be tipped upside down and to the side to be used in other unique ways. The possibilities are endless. The company is also starting to create see-saw attachments and when they are available to purchase, we will definitely be getting one.

As well as climbing rockers, Think Build Play also create slides which can be attached to climbing frames, Pikler A'Frames, Cubes, Beams and Connectem Blocks. They are custom made to order. You can contact the company on Facebook or Instagram for pricing and they can give you a timeline for production. Ours took approximately 2 weeks which is really quick!

If you want a truly one of a kind and beautiful piece of play equipment for your child that will help them with their gross motor skills, and encourage their sense of adventure, you should definitely contact Think, Build, Play.
